DISCOUNTED TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Now that you have your LGV licence, what are you going to do with it?
Specialists in Driver Recruitment Training
Drive Personnel specialises in helping newly-qualified HGV drivers to find the kind of work that they want. Having achieved your Class 2 licence, it's time to put it to good use. But why stop there? At Drive Personnel, we believe in developing drivers' skills to help you establish a successful career and achieve real progression. To assist with this, we provide continuation training and excellent access to jobs in the haulage industry.
As part of our commitment to supporting our drivers, we provide discounted additional training courses as well as access to temporary and permanent driving roles. This ensures that our drivers are able to maximise their earning potential whilst still undergoing continuous professional development – whether that’s further HGV Driver Training, Driver CPC Training, ADR, Moffett, HIAB, Airside or other advanced training.
Most employers use agencies to hire their workforce. As a result, you can work for Drive Personnel, benefit from our experience and knowledge of employment in this area, whilst earning a good living at the same time. For drivers who complete their HGV driver training with us, we are able to provide both temporary and permanent roles to suit you.
Driver CPC Training
The Driver CPC Training course is a mandatory requirement for anyone who drives large goods vehicles on a professional basis (C, C1, C+E, C1+E). As a result, driving without a CPC licence carries a heavy penalty of up to £1,000. The licence is valid for 5 years and you must complete 35 hours of periodic training within this period in order to remain compliant.
We can provide access to Driver CPC training courses to keep you legal and ensure that your earning potential and availability for HGV driving jobs is not affected by allowing your CPC to lapse.
If you have any questions about the Driver CPC Training process, please get in touch.
Discounted Training
As part of our commitment to providing high quality HGV training and development opportunities to our local drivers, Drive Personnel offers discounted training to drivers within our catchment (Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester, Gosport, Fareham and the surrounding areas) who are either currently working for us, or able to work for us during or after training.
Providing exclusively discounted training through premier logistics training providers Trailer Training Ltd and 2Start Ltd, Drive Personnel offers opportunities to drivers who aspire to increase their earning potential and learn new skills.
Whether you are new to the logistics industry* or an experienced driver looking to expand your access to new job opportunities, Drive Personnel is here to support your HGV driver training development.
*Drive Personnel can only accept drivers over 23 years of age, and in some cases drivers over 25 are required for insurance purposes. Please contact a member of our team for more information.
Class 1 & Advanced HGV Driver Training
We also work with experienced heavy goods vehicle drivers who would like to develop their driving skills.
Drive Personnel are on hand to support you with your career progression and will help you to progress from Class 2 to achieve your Class 1 licence. Once you've completed your HGV driver training and earned this qualification, you’ll find more doors open to better career opportunities with higher earning potential.
We can also assist with training for more advanced roles, such as moffett/crane, ADR, HIAB or Airside qualifications, maximising the career opportunities available to you, and offering access to a wider range of HGV driving jobs.
Our experienced team are always on hand to provide advice and support to help you further your career, whether that’s with further HGV Driver Training or supporting your obligatory Driver CPC Training. Get in touch with us today to find out the next steps for your future as an HGV driver.
Flexible Payment Options
At Drive Personnel, we understand that not every driver has immediate access to additional training expenses, which is why we offer a repayment scheme to help you manage the cost of your training course. Drivers can either:
1. Self-fund 100% of your course with our discount at our selected training companies.
OR
2. Self-fund 50% of your course, with Drive Personnel funding the remaining 50%. The balance paid by Drive Personnel on your behalf is to be repaid over 10 or 20 weeks out of the money you earn whilst driving for us.
Drivers who choose the repayment plan will be required to sign a training contract committing to the course of repayments.
