M27 Smart Motorway Upgrades, Junctions 4 to 11

As such the local motorway networks are crucial to our clients and drivers.

You may already be aware that Highways England are upgrading the M27 junction 4 (M3 interchange) to junction 11 (Fareham) by turning the hard shoulder into a permanent running lane making a dual four lane, smart motorway. This project is a key part of the strategic road network, provding a vital transport link between Southampton and Portsmouth, while also connecting to the M3 at Junction 4, leading to Winchester and Basingstoke. This work is underway now and is set to be completed in the Spring of 2021.  A lot of the planned work is due to happen overnight i.e. 22.00 to 06.00 so probably key that HGV drivers on late and night shift jobs are fully aware of the planned work, however all drivers should be aware of the timings of the roadworks to ensure minimum disruption to your day.
